I find that some stampers are also quilters. Are you?
This Christmas Quilt stamp set caught my eye right away and was the first one on my list.
I have really enjoyed playing with it!
This is the first one I made with it.
It is for my swap.
Tomorrow, the return swap will be in the mail! I am excited to see the ideas from the Holiday catalog that I receive in return for this card.
This one is labor intense as all of those different patterns was inserted after cutting the die from several different pieces of DSP.
This is a much easier version that will be at the Stamp Along for you to choose.
It also uses some of my retired DSP!
You can choose either of the two shown here.
The one on the left is black and the one on the right is brown.
I love the saying that comes with the set!
When life gives you scraps, make a quilt!
The embossing folder that matches for the quilting effect is also in the Holiday Catalog.
If you still need a catalog, you can pick one up at the Stamp Along next Monday. (11th)
Here are a few other quilt cards I made.
When I cut the black frame for my swap card, all of the scrap pieces would be waste.
You know how I hate waste, right?
I carefully put glue on the back while they were still in the frame lit and mounted them on white.
Much easier than piecing them back into the spaces.
I only did a few of these as they, too, are time consuming and I had those swaps to get finished and in the mail. I did one in green and one in red. Which one do you like the best?
I also had the frame as scrap from cutting all of the DSP for the inserts.
They are coming to the Stamp Along and you can choose to make a card like this.
There are frames of all of the patterns you see above on my swap card.
Plain and simple but less is more sometimes!
The font for the Peace is so pretty.
I had a portion of the two pieces of DSP left, uncut, when I was finished with the swap cards so I made a card with each of them.
The DSP pack that coordinates is really pretty.
The folder really adds to the "finishing" of the card/quilt also!
I do have another one made with the matching DSP but I am saving that one for next time!
Yes!!!
There will be Halloween cards!
Two already.
I will put those in the next post.
They both have the cat on them. That cat punch was the second thing on my wish list!
Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think about the quilt cards.
