Cat Punch

Love that Cat!
This card helped me use a lot of retired product! I hope you don't mind.
I know that there are beautiful new papers in the Holiday catalog.
I just can't keep buying it just because it is so cute/pretty.
I have so much paper here that is also cute/pretty.
I found a small pack of the Wild Wasbi card stock and it went well on this card.
The cat, bat, and web use lots of the tiny scraps.
The cat is only a partial cat. You don't have to have a whole cat that nobody can see!
Even the letters use scrap.
The background piece is very nice and there are new patterns in the catalog but you won't find this pattern available anymore.
You can sponge this card stock to make it any color you choose.
Even the pumpkin is a retired color. I don't even know what color it is! It was a pack of 12 X 12 that I had from a long time ago.
I like that it makes the pumpkin fit in by not being so bright.

This plain and simple card could be a masculine one for birthday, retirement, or any special day.
I am happy with the way it turned out and decided to quit while I was ahead.
There were a few other stamps that were headed for the card stock but I restrained myself!
Do you think it needs something else?

There are still a few other ideas that want to turn into cards for the Sept Stamp Along.
I think we need another Christmas one for sure.
Thanks, in advance, for the comments!

Flowers are good anytime.

The set used on this card is a hostess set that can be purchased for only $10 of hostess dollars.
You could get this set plus $5 of other product for a $150 order.
You can do it in so many different colors for different looks.
The butterfly is optional. Yes, it is covering a oops!

This one is definitely a fall card.
You can choose to do it in the gold or the copper.
That leaf is in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits die set.
I think this is my favorite leaf ever!
There is also a snowflake in that set that will be coming out much sooner than I want.
I am strongly hoping for a nice long Indian Summer yet!

This little guy/gal is just so darn cute that I thought you would like another card.
I will have a Happy Birthday stamp along so that you can convert the
Thinking of You cards to Happy Birthday ones quite easily.

Still working on some more choices.

Halloween Cards for Stamp Along

The cat punch was a "had to have" for me, as I said in the last post.
Here are two of the cards that I have made for you to choose.
This one has a window for the pumpkin. You see the back side of it from the inside.

This one can be a Halloween card but I made it with the Thinking of you theme for those of you that don't celebrate Halloween.
It could also be a birthday card.

Isn't that cat punch neat?

Here is a card that has a really cool fold!
Easy to make and quite impressive for your friend to receive!
There are two using the same design.
Make one or the other or make one of each!
Come and see how they move!

Thanks for stopping by.
Please let me know your thoughts on the selection of cards.
It is still early enough to give me a suggestion if there is a card/set/color that you would like me to make to have as a selection.
Remember that you get free shipping if you order as part of the Stamp Along.

Christmas Quilt and Quilt Builder Framelits

I find that some stampers are also quilters. Are you?
This Christmas Quilt stamp set caught my eye right away and was the first one on my list.
I have really enjoyed playing with it!
This is the first one I made with it.
It is for my swap.
Tomorrow, the return swap will be in the mail! I am excited to see the ideas from the Holiday catalog that I receive in return for this card.
This one is labor intense as all of those different patterns was inserted after cutting the die from several different pieces of DSP.

This is a much easier version that will be at the Stamp Along for you to choose.
It also uses some of my retired DSP!
You can choose either of the two shown here.
The one on the left is black and the one on the right is brown.
I love the saying that comes with the set!
When life gives you scraps, make a quilt!
The embossing folder that matches for the quilting effect is also in the Holiday Catalog.
If you still need a catalog, you can pick one up at the Stamp Along next Monday. (11th)

Here are a few other quilt cards I made.
When I cut the black frame for my swap card, all of the scrap pieces would be waste.
You know how I hate waste, right?
I carefully put glue on the back while they were still in the frame lit and mounted them on white.
Much easier than piecing them back into the spaces.
I only did a few of these as they, too, are time consuming and I had those swaps to get finished and in the mail. I did one in green and one in red. Which one do you like the best?

I also had the frame as scrap from cutting all of the DSP for the inserts.
They are coming to the Stamp Along and you can choose to make a card like this.
There are frames of all of the patterns you see above on my swap card.
Plain and simple but less is more sometimes!
The font for the Peace is so pretty.

I had a portion of the two pieces of DSP left, uncut, when I was finished with the swap cards so I made a card with each of them.
The DSP pack that coordinates is really pretty.
The folder really adds to the "finishing" of the card/quilt also!

I do have another one made with the matching DSP but I am saving that one for next time!

Yes!!!
There will be Halloween cards!
Two already.
I will put those in the next post.
They both have the cat on them. That cat punch was the second thing on my wish list!
Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think about the quilt cards.

Technique Class

Do you like to do different techniques?
This one uses embossing powder and different colors of card stock.
The one with the butterfly also has a fancy fold involved.
The class will be at Schroeder's on Thursday afternoon at 2:15.
It is only $5 and you will make two cards very similar to these two.
My photography doesn't do them justice at all.
This is Tempting Turquoise! And the embossing is stunning with the silver and gold on the butterfly.

This one still needs some work. It will definitely get a bright colored layer added.
This one used the new Christmas Quilt set from the Holiday Catalog.
I am loving working with this set!
I used it for one of my swap cards and have two or three that you can do at the Stamp Along on the 11th of September.

What do you think of the Postive/Negative look?
Let me know if you would like to come and join us for the class.
There are a limited number of spaces.

Thank you to all of you that use the hostess code when ordering!
If you don't have a Holiday Catalog you can pick one up at the Stamp Along
or give me a call and we can arrange to get one to you.
It is on line but there is just something about paging back and forth in your own copy!
Right?
