More Stamp Along cards

Here are more choices for the Stamp Along in June.
This card was supposed to go to the Stamp Along a few months ago but, I don't think it ever got there. Do you remember it being there?
It is still firefly season though so it is OK. I do think they like warmer weather though!

Same set but totally different card.
This one uses the jars in a whole different way.

This would be the "cute" card of the month. Aren't these little animals just darling?

This is a very quick and easy card done with the Stamparatus.
Do you have an overdue Thank You card to send out?

I will also have a sample of all of the new color lineup available.
If you would like to make a chart for yourself, instead of one of your card choices, you may do that.

The new catalogs will be there for you also.

Thank you to all of my on line customers!
I appreciate you so much.
Remember that if your order is over $150 it is considered to be a party and you don't want to use the code because you will want the party perks for yourself.

If you need a catalog, please let me know and I will get one to you.

More of the trip and more Stamp Along cards

After lunch at Moscow on the hill, we got back on the bus. What a nice bus, it was! It even had Wifi!
We had a small group, just enough so it wasn't cancelled, so we each had a double seat to ourselves.
Way to travel!

Next was St. Paul's Cathedral.
What a magnificent place of worship.

We had a short talk about the history of the church but the gal's mic wasn't working real well and they had some cleaning/renovation going on in the back so it was difficult to hear real well.
After the intro, we did a walking tour. I couldn't believe how many side altars and shrines were in there. Every time we went around a corner, there was another altar or shrine!

Next, we walked across the street and visited the James J Hill house.
We did get to see many of the fabulous houses mentioned on this Plaque.

This is the entry way and is only an indication of the rest of the house!

If you want to see more of these places, just ask to see my pictures at the Stamp Along.
I would be glad to let you see them.

Next stop was The Forshy Building where we had a little reception.
We had crackers and cheese, shrimp and dips, and coupons for two drinks.
I had the Dragon Mist on the left and Nancy had the Spring Fling.
Mine was streaming when it came. We found out that it was dry ice fused to the bottom of the glass that made it so impressive. It didn't taste as good as it looked!

We stopped at Minnehaha Falls and had time to walk around. Very nice place and there were several school groups there for their "end of the year" field trip. Brought back lots of memories.

Back on the bus and more of the sights of the Twin Cities.
This is the Frederick K Weisman Art Center.

The University of Minnesota.

Next stop was the Guthrie Theater.
They have an Amber Room where the floor has a glass floor so you can see straight down from, I think, the eighteenth floor.
No, I didn't stand on that square!
I am not sure what the meaning of the amber coloring is but it does give the world a different look!
That is Pam and Nancy standing on the glass floor.

They had a very fancy bathroom there.
This is the line of sinks. If you run real fast, you can make the water run in all of them.
Just sayin'.

They also had an elevator that you could use for several floors.
Of course, I had to do that, too!

Supper was at Psycho Suzi's.
Quite the place!

Photo op in the lobby.

Then we stopped to see the Mary Tyler Moore statue.
I did post this on FaceBook in case you missed it there.
Yes, that is my hat up there.

Back to the hotel where we played games into the night.
I was lucky and won the Left, Right, Center game.
The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel and then the long ride home.
We did a few stretch your legs stops and a meal before we got back to Milwaukee.

I hope that you enjoyed my recount of the trip.

Now, here are a few more of the cards for the Stamp Along.

This one features the tricky move of having the tree move from the front of the card to the inside.
It isn't difficult to make though.

This one is for any event that is the beginning of a new adventure.
Birthday, retirement, graduation, or almost anything could be a good time to use this card.
It features an different fold also. You may remember the fold from one of the Panda cards!

Of course, there are thinking of you cards!
I should be sending some of these!

I hope to see you on Monday at the library!
There will be a catalog for you at the library if you haven't gotten one yet.

Happy Summer/Winter

What is with our weather?
One day it is so hot that I am sure that summer has arrived, then the next day it is cold enough to wonder if summer is over or not coming!
I love it when it is really warm.
How about you?
I just took a Red Hat trip to Minneapolis with a friend that is the opposite --- she likes it cool and I like it warm. This time I took a heating pad along to survive the night! It did work.
Here are a few of the highlights of the trip.
We stopped for lunch at a fancy place.
We were supposed to eat on the patio, which was beautiful and overlooking the Mississippi River but it was raining so we were indoors. The food was very good.
This is Kay, the tour guide for the trip.

We stopped at the National Eagle Center. Quite an impressive place! There are a few eagles that live there permanently because they have been injured and can not be rehabilitated so are used for educational purposes.

These are two of the eagles that live there.

Our next stop was for ice cream at the Nelson Creamery.
They had delicious ice cream and a nice gift shop.

We drove past the Laura Engles Wilder house but didn't get off the bus.

The Mall of America was next. It was evening but I sure thought it would be busier!
Linda, a Silver Stamper friend,  met us there as she lives close enough to drive in for a visit.
The visit was so nice that we didn't get any pictures! Mentioned it a few times and she took these of my travel partner, Nancy, and me in the Unicorn photo op.

This is Nancy. She is fun.
I think Linda would approve of her as my travel partner.

I had to have my pix taken also.

We got something to eat and had a wonderful visit while the sun set.
Thank you, Linda, for taking the time to meet us for the visit.
I am looking forward to our next visit already!

The next morning we boarded the bus and headed to St, Paul and the Wabasha Caves.
This is where the gangsters hung out. We didn't got into the caves --- that is another tour --- but that is our step on guide, one of the two documented female gangsters of the era, with our guide.
The woman was awesome. Really knows her history and "became" that gangster! She pointed out many sights in St. Paul that had to do with the gangsters and the corruption that went on during the turn of the century.

Of course, breweries figured into the mix during and after prohibition.
The Hamm Family was prominent. We did get out and walk the grounds.

There were three large homes on this stop that were all in the family. This one has the original  Hamm's bear on the front lawn. Photo op! The lady that lives there is elderly and doesn't mind the tours to come up and have their pictures taken.

The bear won't be there much longer. When they did some renovations on the all wooden bear, they found that its arm has bugs. It cannot be repaired and may be a danger to surrounding trees so the bear will have to be destroyed. So sad!

The house next door is privately owned and the third one is a facility for recovering alcoholics!
Quite fitting!

We had several views of the capital throughout the day.

We also saw many of the huge. beautiful homes in the area, all the while being entertained and enlightened by our wonderful guide!
That took most of the morning. I think she could have gone on for, at least, another hour.
She did mention that if we hadn't been such a good audience that we would have been finished much sooner!
Our next stop was for lunch.
Very interesting! Not a place that many of us would have chosen, but it was very good although different. Good Russian food served family style.

I will continue with the trip on the next blog.

I know that you are interested in the cards that I will have for you at the Stamp Along next Monday.
Here are a few of them.

This one will be back.
It is made with the block stamping combined with the eclipse technique.

This one is also a return.
This is the DSP that was free during SAB.

This one uses that darn cute little squirrel since there are so many of them running around the yards right now. I enjoy watching the cute antics of the squirrels.

This is using the new, beautiful embossing folder along with some of the specialty designer paper.
It is gorgeous!
The picture doesn't do it justice at all!

That is it for this time.
Sorry it is so long!
Thanks for taking time to spend with me.
Let me know that you are there with a quick comment.
Thanks!
