Guy cards and Swallowtail

Three of the cards that will be available for you to choose at the Stamp Along on Thursday.
Yes, the Swallowtail will be there again! I love that stamp!
You can't see it very because it is only showing a bit from the inside of the card on the left.
It is a bit dark in the picture but it is there.
Hope you can make it to Festival in Manitowoc
on Thursday the 30th
between 1:00 and 5:00 to make these.

Elegant Butterfly Punch Frame

Don't these Butterflies make a neat frame?
I am starting to work on my swaps for convention in July.
This is one of the many punch art cards that I signed up to do.
The hardest part is to come up with the idea and not to just copy one that I have seen on another website!
If you have any cute punch art ideas please let me know.

The bottom part of this card has been through the Big Shot in the Argyle Folder.
I made a mask and sponged the inside of the frame with the new in-color, Coastal Cabana.
Stamping the birds from Serene Silhouettes with StazOn was next.
Then I added the Elegant Butterfly punches from the Natural Composition Specialty paper with dimensionals to form the frame.
For which occasion would you use this card?

Spring Thank You

The daffodils are blooming and it is finally feeling like spring.
The bright yellow inspired this card that was a hit at the Stamp Along on Monday.

The Thank You, stamped in So Saffron, is from the Hostess Set, Wacky Wishes.
The card base is Whisper White with a layer of Whisper White that has been embossed with the Fancy Fan folder. The ribbon is retired for a long time but just fit so nicely on this card that nobody seemed to mind. The flower is made with the Blossom punch with the two smaller centers from the Boho Blossom punch all attached and run through the Big Shot in the Northern Flurry folder.
The Bitty Butterfly was punched with Whisper White and run through the Big Shot in the Northern Flurry folder, also. The flowers from Best of Flowers were stamped on the card front along with the Thank You before the layered piece was added with dimensionals. The So Saffron back was added for the extra "pop" of color.
Don't you agree that this card says spring?

Happy Mother's Day

These are two of the cards that I had for make n' takes at my booth at the Sayner Convention.
They were quite popular as I was busy all day with them.
It was a fun day since I love to help others make cards.
The one on the right features an image from Best of Flowers.
I love the Best of series as they are smaller sizes of the original stamps.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!

Now I am preparing for the Stamp Along next Monday. Mother's Day will be history then.
These are a few of the selections that will be available at the Library next Monday.

Dress Form

Light up your Life class

This coming weekend a friend and I are heading north for the Sayner Stampede!
This is a wonderful stamping convention that features several companies. We have been going for several years and enjoy it each time. They have a used stamp sale sponsored by the Lioness Club. We each pack up the things that we have outgrown and price them to sell. We usually sell enough to finance our trip. It is a chance to see what is new and do make n' takes and just have fun. We stay at The Rustic Inn, a wonderful small motel with a nice swimming pole and friendly management that is very nearby in St. Germain.

I have been doing a class there for the last two years. These are the two cards that I am doing this year. The one on the right is the dress form as it was designed to be used. The previous post showed the double version. The card on the left, is a tea light card, thus the name of the class.

I am also going to do a booth with several different make n' take cards there. I love to demo and show different techniques but this time I am going to be concentrating on sponging. I am really looking forward to it. If you are there, stop by my booth and let me know that you follow my blog and I may have a little something for you.
