Shaker and fancy fold cards

Do you like cards that are a little more complex?
I enjoy doing ones that have something "different" about them.
These are shaker cards that use the shaker frames on page 175 in the big catalog.
I will be doing a class on these five in March.
Are you interested?
What time of the day is good for you to attend a class?

Besides the shaker element on these cards, several of them also have a fancy fold involved.
The one on the left is one of the box in a card that are so popular right now. Fun to make and not too difficult. The one in the top right is an easel card. The bird house also has a different fold involved.
These are the reason that I haven't been on here for awhile. They were a little intense.
I am getting started on the Stamp Along for March. I am hoping that by doing some spring cards that spring will actually happen soon!
I have a very pretty one that can be Mother's Day, Easter, or birthday. I will try to get that one on soon. What kind of cards do you need?

Quick & Easy and Winner and Fire

These cards are very quick and easy to make.
I just love the DSP that is free during SAB this year!
I will be doing a class so you can make them if you would like.
It will be on Monday, Feb 17 at 1:00 at Hobby Lobby in Manitowoc.

Leave a comment or send an email if you would like to join us.
All five for $5!

The winner of the blog candy for leaving comments is
Shirley
Congratulations!
Since she was at the Stamp Along she has already received her gift.
I will have a drawing again next month before the Stamp Along.
Will you be the lucky one?

This post may have been out earlier if not for the big distraction on Tuesday.
Even though I was gone during the day I didn't get to my stamp room in the evening either.

This was happening while I was gone.

The one on the left is taken from our driveway straight across the street. You can see the flames coming out on the side. This was before the big trucks arrived because the truck was parked in front of our driveway. The one on the right is off to the right as that is our tree in the smoke and one of the trucks. Photos compliments of my hubby, Jon.

This is one that I took when I got home about 8:30. They were just watching it to be sure it was all out. It is so sad to see a house that was so elegant, in its day, to be reduced to this.
The people were gone at the time but the pets didn't make it. So sad!

This is the house to the right. The siding is all melted and looks like paper hanging there.
Can you imagine the amount of heat involved?
God bless our firemen! They were able to keep the houses on both sides from burning even though they both lost the siding facing the fire.

This one was taken about 11:30. They were still checking. You can see the fireman removing the ladder from the front. This one was taken from my kitchen window.

There is nothing like a disaster like this to make you count your blessings!

Peaceful Petals

There are so many pretty papers available right now but this Watercolor Wonder is so easy to work with to make a quick and easy card. Paired with the Peaceful Petal stamp set you can whip out several pretty cards in no time at all.

Again, the only difference in these cards is the base card color.
Which one do you like the best?

Another Minion...SAB...Stamp Along

It is Sale-a-Bration time!
Don't you just LOVE a great sale?
Free product with every $50 order. This is from Stampin' Up!

There will be more Valentines for you to make at the Stamp Along. This one is done in Cajun Craze which makes it a little more masculine than when it is done in Real Red.
There is another minion. I finally got to watch the movies with the minions so I understand why they are so popular. They are sure cute in the movie. This one is done with the circle flip card. I didn't think I needed the circle flip card framelit until I saw this cute little minion on Michelle Suit's blog.
Then there is a wedding and anniversary card. These are done with the Best of Brides and Babies. There is still time to get the Best of.... before they retire in March. Don't forget to send in your stickers for the free $14.95 stamp see of your choice. This is the month of my/our wedding anniversary so I just might have an anniversary special at the Stamp Along besides the already great deal of the SAB free item and free shipping.
How would you like that? Give me some suggestions. Try to make them realistic!
What do you think about that cute little alligator? I saw that one on someones blog but their name isn't on the picture and I don't remember. Thank you to the creative person that shared it. The stamp set is See Ya Later and it is one that you can receive free with a $50 order.

All the same yet so different.
It always amazes me to see the difference that just one changed element can do to change the feel of a card. In this case the color of the base card is the only difference in these three cards. Which one do you like the best? You might want to make a few of these to have on hand. The set used is Another Great Year in the Occasions catalog.
There will be another drawing from the comments left between now and the Stamp Along next Monday. I love winning prizes, don't you?
You can also win a prize for signing up to try the Paper Pumpkin at www.mypaperpumpkin.com
I still need a few more to meet that challenge and receive that box of retired product.
Could you help?
