Mystery Trip Day two and Stamp Along cards.

Day 2
We had a very nice breakfast, they made omelets to order for us, at the hotel.
At 9:00 (I love the late starts!) we got on the bus and headed for our first stop of the day. It was the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art. I didn't have a clue!
Turns out it is carvings of gem stones and this museum is a collection of Mr. Lizzadro.

This is one of the many beautiful pieces of art there.
There were extensive pieces of Jade. All were beautiful. It was very interesting.

These are my travel companions for this trip, along with the other 48 people on the trip!
Nancy, Carolee, Helga, and Margaret.

Next stop was the National Shrine and Museum of St. Therese.
The meal was cafeteria style and very delicious.
The tour was fantastic. The guide really knew his material! He told the story of St. Therese's life and explained many of the items they had on display.

This wood carving depicts her life. The left side is before the convent and the right side is her convent years. The center is the many people that were helped by her.
There are several relics of her in the case just below the carving.

This is the guide that we had that told so many interesting things about her life. I wish I had a better memory! He is standing in the doorway of the replica of her convent room. The door is the original one and the window frame is also original. They have a painting behind the window frame that shows the scene that she had when she looked out. The tiles in front of the guide are also original.
Gosh! That room was tiny! No room for stamps in there!

Back to the hotel for a bit of down time. Then it was off to another evening of entertainment.
This is Medieval Times. I knew I would be in trouble because I didn't take my inhaler along!
I have been to these before and the horses get to me and make it hard to breath.

The meal is served without silverware. You eat with your fingers. We had a half chicken, corn on the cob, half a baked potato, and a beverage.
While you are eating, the entertainment is going on in the arena below. I did get to finish the meal before I had to go outside for fresh air because of my breathing. There was ice cream for dessert which the tour guide brought out to me. A lady on the bus also had a problem with the breathing and had her inhaler with her on the bus. When she came out...also early...she let me use it. Bless her! It really helped.

Thus ended day two.

Here are a few more of the cards for the Stamp Along on Monday.
This one is a very "springy" card with its soft color. It uses the eclipse technique.

These two were there last time but if you have been using as many Thinking of You and sympathy cards as I have, you can probably do them again.
Using the subtle folder on the front layer gives the card such a soft linen look.

Don't forget that the 2017-2019 In colors are going to retire soon. If you need ink refills or card stock in those colors, order now or it will be gone.
The Lemon Lime Twist is one of those colors. This card also uses some of the SAB products so you won't be able to purchase them but you can still make the cards with them. The folder and the stamp set used on this one are two of those.

The way our weather has been going, I think we can still use this card with a bit of the "winter" feel to it. What do you think? Please leave a comment.

More of the cards next time, as well as Day Three of the Mystery Trip.
Thank you for taking time to visit with me.

The hostess code for on line orders is:

Thank you!
