Play time

I wish I would have had enough time before the swap was due to do this.

This is the swap card that I did but I have now added the die cut in glimmer paper.
What a difference that makes!
The one on the left is the die cut itself.
The one on the right is the scrap from the die cut. The one on the left is quite easy.
I just didn't have the time to do that extra set of cutting and pasting for the fifteen swaps.
Just thought I would share with you.

Swap cards III

Here are the remainder of the swap cards from my most recent swap.
Do you like Paisley?
This is a neat set but I haven't gotten it yet. Not sure if I should.
What do you think? Do I need it?

This card almost makes me want to get it. I love these colors.
I don't see a name on this one.
I am a Fall person and like all the earthy colors.

This one is from the Basket of Wishes set.
It was done by Tammy Stumpf.
There is Wink of Stella on the veggies and makes them look good enough to eat.
I don't have this set yet either.
I really like it but not sure I would use it very much.
Give me your thoughts for these sets.
Leave a comment and I will have a drawing for the best advice as to which ones to get and why!

Carla Bosselaar did this one with the Frosted Medallions set on page 37.
She also used the Speciality paper on the same page. It is such an elegant card.
Another set I don't have yet!

Marg Gromann did this one. That foil overlay sure is striking!
This set was carried over from last year. Some of you have this set already.

I am working on some more swaps right now as I will be going to an event next Saturday to gather more ideas to share with you.
I will show you mine along with the ones I receive there.

If you need to place an order before the next Stamp Along, please use the code
EFJYQTMP
for your on line order.
Thank you!

More Swap Cards

Here are a few more cards that I got in my most recent swap.
I think this is the best swap in which I have ever participated.
What do you think?

This is the Star of Light set on page 9 of the Holiday catalog
It is the one that I am using for the class...see previous post.

Here are three of the swaps I received.
They were made by Laurie Krauss, Cindy Lou,
and Sarah Simon.

This cute little house isn't stamped. It is cut from the Designer Series Paper on page 5.
She also used the Pine Bough Embossing folder on page 20. There was no name on the card.

There are a few more for next time.

Thanks for stopping.

The three below are added on just for you.

Please let me know if you will be coming for the class or if you would like the class in the mail because you can't come.
For the class in the mail:
You will need the set and the inks to do your own stamping but I will have everything cut and embossed unless it has to be stamped first.
Just place your order on line using the code
EFJYQTMP
before Sept 30th so I know to cut card stock for you.
Also comment on here or contact me to let me know you want the class.
Thank you!

There is another contest, in which I have an entry, that you can place a vote.
Please do that.
Look them over and vote for the one you like best.

Swap cards

I recently took part in a swap for ideas from the new catalog.
This is the card that I made.

There are many sets that will help us make wonderful Christmas cards in the Holiday Catalog but the next holiday is Halloween!
Many of the gals in the swap chose to use this set:

It is for Halloween and Fall. Very cute! I did not get it. There were too many others on my wish list!
Here are the swaps I received in exchange for mine.
They were done by Cindy Ehlers and Patti Skiba.
Bottom ones by Dena Rekow and Rachel Yurkanin.

More using that same set.
Top ones by Susan Legits and Sherri Wolfgram.
Bottom ones by BJ Peters and Kim Bolzenthal.

The set that was used on the above cards goes with the punch that is bundles with this set:

There was only one swap using this set but...Halloween comes first!
I did get the Christmas one and would be happy to do a private class using it.
Just get a few friends together and lets set a date. I will do five cards using the set for free with a minimum order from each. Or $15 with out an order. I will come to your home or we can do it at Schroeder's in Two Rivers.
Here is the one I got in the swap.
This one also uses the new cable knit folder that is in the Holiday Catalog.

More swaps next time.

Please go to www.stampwithgloria.com
and vote for your favorite card in her contest. I do have one in there but just vote for the one you like the best. I try to enter that contest each month. She is my upline and there is a very nice prize for the winner!

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate the comments that have been left on the blog lately.
Thanks for taking the time.

More Stamp Along cards and my most recent adventure.

First the cards that will be at the Stamp Along.
Both of these were there last time but there was a request to bring them back so they will be there.
If you wish to place an order on line,

please use the hostess code:

This one uses the bow maker punch and is done in the in color, Emerald Envy.

Quick and easy, this one uses a few die cuts and the specialty paper in the Affectionately Yours pack on p 172. The jar is the shortest one from the Everyday Jars Framelits set.

The last week in August I met a friend and two of her friends that I had yet to meet in Green Bay.
She introduced us to each other and off we went to the northwest part of Wisconsin for an overnight on a train. It is a long drive to Spooner!

We were able to board the train at 5:00. We knew that the rooms would be small but were still surprised with what we saw.
I climbed up the ladder to my bunk to check it out.
This picture was taken from out in the hallway!

The door on the left (above) is for the bathroom. You are right, you can't use the toilet with the sink in the way! The sink folds up to get it out of the way. That is also the way to drain the water.

We had an adjoining room with the other two gals and we left the door open between the rooms for better air circulation.
Here you can see their room from ours. That is the top of my ladder on the left. It is right against the door at the bottom.

Next, we went to the next car, past the bar and into the lounge.
There was a tiny dance floor and a few sofas in there.

We visited with some of the other people on the train in there after dinner. There were two unisex bathrooms in there that were much roomier than the one in our room so we took advantage of those.

The next car was the dinner car.

As soon as we got in there they brought the plate of appetizers. Notice there are three slices of sausage for the four of us? They brought us another plate.

Then the train started moving. It is the only train in the US that serves the meal while the train is moving. We had a choice of meals when we registered for the trip. The choices were steak, salmon, or shrimp. One of my brussel sprouts got eaten before I remembered to take the picture.

Lots of beautiful scenery while we were eating.

There was also a very nice salad and delicious blueberry or raspberry cheesecake. By then we were back at the station.
There were several people that just came for the meal and got off the train after the meal. We went for a walk but it had gotten quite cool out so went back to the lounge car.
I sept quite well after I got situated in that top bunk. The covers were tucked so tight that I had to fight with them to get them to reach out enough to get total coverage!
In the morning, we had to go through the lounge car and the dinner car to get to the breakfast car. It was a nice buffet type breakfast with eggs, potatoes, sausage, fruit, cereal, and juice. It was nice because they also had tea for those of us that don't drink coffee.
When we got off the train we took a walk to the caboose with a couple that was also on the trip.

It was a very nice experience! The ladies that went with us are very nice. I am so glad that I got to meet them!
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my adventure.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope to see you on Monday!

This first card is using the die cuts from the Holiday Catalog.
It is the card that I did for a swap that I joined.
Do you want to see the cards I got in return?
If I hear/see enough "yes" comments I will show them to you!
You can make this one at the Stamp Along.

This one uses the Vertical greetings set and the Detailed Floral Thinlits with the in colors.

The next three are returning from last time so if you missed the last Stamp Along you can still get them this time.
This one folds so it makes a nice display for the recipient.

This one is a favorite of mine. I got it in a kit from Ronda Wade.
She does such nice designs.
I love the colors on it also. These colors inspired the cards I am doing for a contest right now.
I will show those to you as soon as I get them sent off.
I will also be doing a class with them soon.

There is still time for flowers! Fall is in the air but I'm not ready for it yet!

How many of you want me to do Halloween cards next month?
I would be glad to do them if you want them but I have found that I have lots of "left overs" from the Halloween card projects. Let me know, in the comments, if you want Halloween cards.

Would any one be interested in kits to go if you can't make it to the Stamp Along?
You would get all the parts to make the cards. All the die cutting and embossing would be done for you but you would need to do your own stamping.
If you don't have the stamps I used you can use different ones that fit the space.
That would include five cards for $10 plus the shipping of $3.
Want the cards finished for you?
That would be a $15 fee for the five cards plus shipping.
If there is interest in either of these options, I will look into getting a PayPal account and doing a file for instructions for the cards.
Let me know in the comments.
Thanks.
Hope to see you Monday!

Stamp Along Time

No excuses for my being absent!
This summer has been beautiful and I have been spending time outside.
Here are some of the cards that will be available at the Stamp Along on Sept 13th at the Lester Library in Two Rivers. Come anytime between 1:00 and 6:00 and stamp five of the cards of your choice for the small fee of $7.

Thoughtful Branches was an exclusive set that was available during August. It is fabulous and I am sharing some more cards made with that set. If you have the set, these are more ideas for you. If you didn't get the set, these are cards that you can make using it.

Here it is as a pumpkin.
Speaking of Pumpkins.... If you have never tried the Paper Pumpkin, you should try it now! They are giving you two months for the price of one. Just go to mypaperpumpkin.com. Please be sure to choose me as your demonstrator and use the code BOGO to get the two months for only $19.95. I need a few more people to try it to make my goal. Thank you if you can help me out with that. You will also get some nice kits to make. We can get together to make them if you would like to do that but you will have to meet the Paper Pumpkin group at Schroeder's in TR. I will let you know the time and date.

This one is also from Thoughtful Branches.
Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

Another neat set is the Best Birds.
I didn't think I would like birds with cut out parts but I really like this card using the thinlets.

Those of you that had orders at the last Stamp Along have received your Holiday Catalog.
Pretty nice stuff in there!
Here is one of the cards that you can choose to make that uses the new things. The snowman is from the Christmas Magic set on page 22. The greeting is from Star of Light set on page 9.
That set is wonderful! I will be doing a class using that one. I have the cards ready and will get the pictures taken and show them to you soon. They will also be at the Stamp Along for you to see.

If you don't have a catalog yet and would like one, I will have them at the Stamp Along. Please get one when you come.

Thanks for stopping by.
If you are ordering on line, the hostess code is
WKR93HBF
Thank you, in advance, for doing that!
