Moon Lake

First of all, I want to apologize for taking such a long break from blogging. Time goes so quickly when you are busy.
I have been to a craft weekend and had a great time with some special friends.
We each have an eight foot table and can bring anything we want to work on while we are there.
My project was making the topiaries. I did get a good start on them while I was there but I was having too much fun visiting and getting caught up with friends that I hadn't seen since the last craft time to work too hard.
What am I making topiaries for, you ask?
They will be the centerpieces for our anniversary party.
On the 13th of February in 1965 Jon and I said our "I do" to each other.
Talk about time going by quickly!
Wow!!! Fifty years!

This is the view of the room where all the tables were set up.
The crafters come and go as they wish but it is so nice to be able to have your things spread out and ready for you to work on them when you are ready.
Brenda, the gal that organizes this event, also has a set of eight cards that can be made while we are there. She does very nice cards and I love the chance to make them. Always nice to not have to do the planning and cutting!

This is a close up of the Topiary.
It is in progress here.
I do have them, all five, finished now! I will post pictures after the party.

I have been busy with some classes also. Did the Butterfly one today. The group did a great job and got to do the two bonus cards that I had for them in case there was time.

These are for the next class using Moon Lake.

Four cards using Moon Lake stamp set. These make great guy cards. The top right one is a special pop up technique card.
This class will be done at Schroeder's in TR on Feb. 25 at 12:30.
You can order your set at the Stamp Along next Monday and get free shipping. That way the class is $28 which includes the clear mount set. If you would like to take the class but can't come to the Stamp Along it will be $30. I need to know before Feb. 9th so I can order your set so you have it in time for the class.
There will probably be a bonus card for you that I will have to add when I see a really special one on Pinterest or on a blog that calls out to me!

  2. Your topiaries are wonderful! God bless you and Jon on your upcoming 50th anniversary!

Oh, how I would love a couple of those work tables. Is there such a thing as a work table that's too large? I don't think so.
