Fancy Folds you can make!

 I am doing a class on Thursday, November 4 at Schroeder's at 1:30 in the afternoon to make these three darling fun fold cards. 

I have a few spots left for this class so I am opening up to anyone that is in the area and reads my blog when I post which hasn't been very regular or often lately! 

They each have a pop up feature which is difficult to show in a photo.

Everything is provided, even the adhesive, and all of the pieces are cut for you. I will walk you through all of the steps to put them together so you will have three special cards to put in the mail to provide some enjoyment for a special person in your life.

SAB in August! New Mini Catalog

 This is the first time that SU! has blessed us with a Sale a Bration for the second time in one year!

I have been busy working on swaps so I can get some new ideas for the Stamp Along....just in case we can  have it again. I had my hopes high for September, but the numbers just keep climbing! I am pretty sure that the answer will be "not Yet!"

Watch the Lester Library Newsletter because that would be the place to find out if they are allowing groups to meet. I sure miss stamping with all of you! 

This is a card made from the squirrel set in the fall mini. The category was case the catalog. Do you ever just go and make the card that you see in the catalog? That is why they give us those wonderful samples. Sometimes it is just a good time saver. 

This one was for the fun fold category. The top layer has side strips cut from the card base and a window sheet strip to connect them. The angel (stamped on  velum and fussy cut) and the trees from a new border punch are connected to the window sheet. That lifts and you see the section behind the angel. Then there is another full layer when you lift that middle piece. This one will go to the Stamp Along if we can have one before Christmas! 

In the meantime.....if you would like to have a few people at your house, I would be glad to come and stamp with you. Please contact me and ask about it. 

This one is mostly from the DSP that is free as a SAB item. I did fussy cut the critters but the penguin can be punched from the DSP with the new punch in the mini catalog.

The tag uses the Elegant tag punch in a little different way....things I like to share with you at the Stamp Alongs!

 Time marches on!

I just realized that I didn't blog last month at all! Since I use this to give you a sample of the cards that you can make at the Stamp Along and we can't have the Stamp Along, I guess that I just skipped over it. 

I do hope that we can stamp together at the Library soon! The last word I got was MAYBE in the fall. Definitely not in August but I am hoping for September. Monday is the second one of the month so I will be placing an order if any of you need some product. The new fall mini catalog will be here to go in with your order. There is also going to be a second SAB this year and it will be in August and September. If any of you would like to have a gathering to stamp at your home, I would love to come and make a few cards with you! It is a great opportunity for getting free product for every $50 order. There are some pretty cute sets available again, as always.

Besides the new mini and Sale a Bration catalogs, I will also include two cards for you with your July order. This cute little turtle one will be one of them and the other may be a sneak peak of a set from the mini.

Monday is the second one of May already! Time goes so quickly and yet it stands still. Anyone else feel that way or is it just me? The Library won't be open to gatherings for awhile yet so we can't stamp together there for awhile yet.

I will still be putting two cards that I have made for you in with your orders until you can come to a Stamp Along and make your own. I have been watching YouTube and Call Me Crafty Al has a video to show how to make a sheet load of cards. The slimline one that I had in the orders last month were one of her designs. This month I used another of her designs and did these. You will get one of them with your order. 

I am going to do a class again this month. It will be at Schroeders on Wednesday the 19th.

We will be doing three cards using the new in colors and the Butterfly set.

The class will be at 1:30 in the basement but you must register as there is a limit of six.

It is free with a $25 order or $15 without an order. I could place your order with the regular Stamp Along order to get it to you sooner if you let me know by Monday. 

Here are two of the cards that we will be making. The third one will be a fancy fold. 

This one uses a new set, Flowers of Friendship, from the new catalog. It has a  coordinating punch for the flowers. The ribbon is the new ribbon that comes in each of the new in colors.

Anyone interested in doing a ribbon share of those ribbons? Please message me if you are interested.

 There is a new catalog coming!

IF we were having a Stamp Along on Monday, I would have it there so you  could sneak a peek! No Stamp Along yet so we will continue to hope that it will be ok soon. 

In the meantime, I am going to be doing small classes for those of you that wish to come. The first will be next Wednesday for those that signed up for the class that was to have been held on March 25th of 2020! They have been notified and it is ready to go. 

If you are interested in doing a class the next one will be on Wednesday, April 21 at Schroder's Dept. Store in TR at 1:30. It will be four cards using the Snail Mail Suite in the Mini catalog on page 54 - 55. The class will be free with a $25 order or $15 without an order. I will only take six and masks will be required. Register quickly is you wish to come. 

 This card is made from that set but won't be in the class. Anyone that places an order this month will receive one of these plus another card as appreciation for the order. The new catalog will also be packed with your order this month.

Not so Happy Anniversary!

It has now been one whole year since the last Stamp Along!

I am hoping that it will soon be safe to meet and stamp together at the Lester Library again!

I am so thankful for those of you that have been loyal and placing orders during this time. 

I hope that you have been enjoying the cards that I have been making for you and including in your orders. 

This is one of the two that will be in this time. 

I was thinking spring when I chose to do the butterfly! The weather has also been promoting that feeling!

The following are some of the things I have been playing with while I am waiting to be able to prep projects for you to do at the Library. 

This one is done with the new blending brushes. They make "sponging" so much easier than using the sponge! They also make it look so smooth. I am sure that they will be on the first trip to the Stamp Along....whenever that happens! I am very impressed with them. 

It is such a quick and easy card. 

Blend the three colors on the white layer and stamp over that with the same color. 

This is the bokeh technique. It has been a long time since I did one of those. Not sure why because they are so pretty. Maybe I will do some technique classes again when we can get out safely! I sure do miss stamping with you! 

I started with the Ombre paper that was free during SAB and did the white circles on that. I then added some of the circles from the circle celebration set. Added some more white circles and then stamped the plants and added the dragonfly!

Happy Valentine'a Day!

It has been a long time since I made a sampler!

I would love to offer this as a class but that isn't happening yet. 

Actually, it is quite easy to make.

This is a very quick and easy Valentine to make that could have been at the Stamp Along this month.

New Year! New Catalog! Fun cards!

Happy 2021! 

 I certainly hope that 2021 will be better tour than 2020 was! 

My wish is that we can get back to stamping together!

I have been working hard on a display board for an event that I am not attending! It is taking place this weekend but I have chosen not to go as I would not remember to keep my distance. I will wait until the vaccine is ready for me. 

My set to work with was Snail Mail! I didn't think I would be able to do this many cards but once I got going, they just flowed. For so many of them I said, "This one could go to the Stamp Along!" I hope you can click on it and make them larger. I also used a few other new sets on many of the cards.

This is a close up of the one that is standing in the lower right corner of the picture above.

The inside has shelves and took a little bit of concentration to make! 

It sure turned out cute though.

This one didn't get on the board because it did it for the Mystery Stamping card on my FaceBook Group. If you haven't checked that out yet, Please do. Each week, on Wednesday morning I post a list of supplies and the following day I post the directions for those supplies so you can assemble them into a card. 

On Sunday, I put the names of those that posted a picture of their creation in a box for a drawing for a small prize if there are at least ten posted. It's free and it's fun!

This is a card that I did for a swap awhile ago and am using it here to wish you a Merry Christmas a little early. Some of you received this with your back in October.  Next Monday should be the Stamp Along. Will we ever be able to stamp together again? I sure hope so! I miss stamping with you and for you.

Mystery Stamping with Carolee

Each Tuesday evening I post a list of supplies for you to gather.

On Wednesday evening I post the directions for you to use to make a card.

After you make your card, you can take a picture of it, and post it in the comments. 

If there are at least 10 posted, I will do a drawing and send a prize to one lucky winner.

 How do you like this beautiful weather for the beginning of November?

It could stay this way until Christmas for me! 

Still no Stamp Along. 

I am missing stamping with you more and more! 

We are having the SU! OnStage event this weekend. Tonight we had all of the recognition. 

Thanks to you, my wonderful customers, and those of you that have joined my team, I was recognized in three categories! Thank you! The recognition was all done tonight. It is so different to do this online when I am so used to going on the trip and meeting up with all the other demonstrators with whom I have become friends over the years. 

Tomorrow, we will get to see the new mini catalog that will start in January. I am excited about that. We did see a few sets that will be in it, as three Million $$$ sellers demoed the stamp set that they helped to design tonight. I NEED to have the one for sure! It has wonderful sayings that fit is three or four different punches that can be used on the card front. 

I am doing the Mystery Stamping with Carolee on Facebook each week to keep me in shape for stamping and writing directions so that when we are able to go back to the Library, I will be able to be able to remember how to do that! This is the card that I did last week. Another one that could have been at the Stamp Along! Check it out, if you haven't yet. Happy Halloween! 

I would have designed several Halloween cards for you to make at the Stamp Along but, alas, there will be no Stamp Along for several months!  This cute card was made by Sharon from her Paper Pumpkin kit and given to me so I am sharing it with you along with my Halloween greetings! 

Since we haven't been able to stamp together at the Library, I have started to do a Mystery Stamping challenge on Face Book. If you are on FB, please check it out. Search for Mystery Stamping with Carolee and ask to join the group. I post the supplies you need on Tuesday night (late) and the directions to assemble the supplies on Wednesday night (late) then you can create your card when you have time. You take a picture of your card and post it in the comment section before Sunday at noon. I put the names of everyone that posted in the special container and draw one out (if there are at least ten posted) and send that person a little participation gift. It is free but I do appreciate any orders of things that you "need" from Stampin' Up!

Here are a few of the results of the Mystery Stamping Challenges. 

This one was a challenge for me to write all of the directions! I must have done ok because there were several wonderful cards posted that week! You can go to the group and check them out for yourself. 

This one is a simpler design and much easier for which to write directions. 

Both of these could have gone to the Stamp Along for you to make. 

The only difference would have been that I would have had the supplies there for you to use. 

This is one of the cards that I will include with the orders this month. Next Monday is the second Monday of the month and I continue to place an order on that day. 

I am so very appreciative to all of you that are helping me to stay afloat! Since I am not using all that cardstock to cut and pack for the cards that are made at the Stamp Along, my own orders are much smaller also. I have been joining swaps and this is one that I made for one that is coming up. It is designed to be an Anniversary or wedding card (there is bling on the lady zebra's hoof) but it could be for any celebration.

I certainly do like this new in color of Magenta Madness! So many of my recent cards use it! 

I have also used the square doily on here. I sponged it a little to make it softer. That is the Cinnamon Cider on the layer and Just Jade for the leaves. 

This one is one that I did in a virtual class.

It uses another one of the new in colors, the Misty Moonlight.

The stamp set is Posted for You on page 81 of the annual caralog. 

I love the script on the words in that set. And, again, the Magenta Madness for the ribbon. 

I did figure out how to get my pictures on here again. They have reverted to the way that I used to have to do it! No longer are they allowing me to just drag them over from the desk top! But, it does work!

Mystery Stamping part 2

CLUE 2
I am going to give you all of the clues in this post so you can work at your own pace and not have to search for them. Follow along to make your card then post a picture of it in the comments here. 

Ready?
....fold your card base
....cut your DSP into 5 strips 1” x 4”
....arrange and attach them on the card front
....cut a die shape from the same color as the card base
....stamp image on the white scrap and cut (with die or scissors)
....stamp greeting on scrap white and trim 
....attach die, image, and ribbon to card front
....add greeting
....add white to inside of card
Now, post a picture of your card in the comments below.
(IF you can’t post the picture, just comment “Done” and message the picture to me. I will then reply to your “Done” with your picture)

On Sunday, after noon, I will do a random drawing of everyone that has a posted picture either here or on FaceBook for a prize.

• if the image needs to be colored, get the markers or pencils or other supplies to color
• stamp set with greeting

• general supplies (trimmer, adhesive, scissors, etc.)

The next time I post,, i will give the directions to use the materials to turn it into a card. 

After that, you make the card and take a picture of it, and post it on my FB page. 

I will put all of the names of the posted card makers in a container and pick one for every ten that are posted to win a prize. 

Let me know in the comments what you think about this and give me suggestions of what else I can do to inspire you to create cards.

Another Month of Stamping Alone

How are you?

Just a reminder for those of you that earned a bonus code in July to place an order now to redeem it. I will be placing the order on Monday as it is the second Monday of August. 

I hope that you have been stamping. I have been doing more swaps than usual because I have had the time to do that instead of preparing cards for the Stamp Along. I am (slowly but surely, I hope) working on doing a FaceBook live Stamp Along for/with you. Let me know if you would like that or any thoughts you have on that idea. 

Today I am going to share a few of the swap cards that I got back for this one.

I guess I won't be sharing swap cards after all! 

I can't get them to import! There must have been an update that changed things and things aren't working today!

I will be sending two cards and a product sample with your order again this month. One of them will be the swap card that I did. I posted it last month. It is the one with the present in the new Magenta Madness in color. That must be my new favorite color. I have made several cards using that color. The other one will be a surprise.

I have been working on some Paper Pumpkin kits and other left overs from classes I have done in the past. Here are two of the Paper Pumpkin kit cards that I have done.

This is the most recent one. 

If you would like to order the August one, you need to do that before the 10th of July. 

If you would like to preorder three months on an order, that qualifies for a code for $5 off in August. 

This one also had four designs but I must have sent the other one.

These are so pretty using the new in colors.

I found several of these DSP pieces cut for these cards. Yes, they are from several years ago!

I did upgrade them with the Forever Fern set (page110) and the new in colors, Magenta Madness and Just Jade. I also used the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

 

Another one that was just waiting to be stamped and put together.

I used the new embossing folder, Ornate Floral on the layer.

This one is totally new.

I had to try the square vellum doilies! I sponged it just a bit. 

Maybe I will include one of these with your order so you can see the doily.

The card was inspired by Connie Stewart. 

I am really enjoying the new in colors.

Blossoms in Bloom and Path of Petals Swap Cards

I joined another swap and made this card using the Blossoms in Bloom set. 

Much easier than the other one I made (on my last post) for the last swap! 

The Embossing folder that I used on this one is just beautiful. 

I have the cards back from the other swap and will share some of them with you. 

As soon as there are five comments on here I will post some of them.

I have been finishing some kits from classes that I have done in the past using stamp sets that we have now. 

This is one of them.

It uses the Someone Special set.

The inside is a slide open as as you open the card to reveal the other little critter. 

I do love my little critters!

This is another swap that I have made and all of the cards will have special folds! 

This one uses the Field of Flowers set. It is a bundle with a punch that makes three different sizes of flowers. The Crushed curry ones are punched and added with glue dots. The Blackberry Bliss ones are stamped.

The inside is the W fold and used the stamps from the set in different combos.

Do you like the extra folds?

These are the ones that I enjoy doing and teaching others how to do in a class. 

They are a little more complicated to write directions to do at the Stamp Along but easy enough to do with a step by step instruction. 

I still have a class packed and ready to teach as soon as it is safe enough to do that. 

Right now, I can't imagine wiping those ink pads, stamps, and tools down before passing them to the next person! I will wait until I feel it is safe enough to do the class without more "wiping down" than I can deal with for three cards.

This is one of them. It would have been at the Stamp Along.

It uses the Path of Petals set that I set up on the Stampamajig to line up the three different colors on the bouquet. 

After they were stamped on the layer, I die cut the shape and raised it with dimentionals. 

The dies are the Stitched so Sweetly that come in a bundle with the So Sentimental set on page 74.

The Thinking of You is from the Blossoms in Bloom set. 

This is the same card with a little different arrangement of the flowers. 

If you have a preference, let me know when you place your order. 

The second card you receive will be a surprise. 

I will also include some new product samples for you to try.
