Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic

This Kinda Eclectic stamp set is wonderful! There is so much you can do with it and it is good for almost any occasion!
I will be doing a class on Aug 20th at 1:00 if you are interested in doing these five cards.
The price is $30 but it includes the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.
You will need to order the set/class at the Stamp Along or before.

There will also be a card using this set at the Stamp Along.
Let me know if you would like to take this class.

Projects from the At the Hop event

Another event that we attended had these projects.
The two on the top left are three D items. One is a little gift pouch and the one with the Pom Pom that is made with the new in color twine has a darling gift card inside. The other three are cards.

It was quite crowded in the room with the long tables set up with stations to stamp but making these cute projects with friends was a lot of fun.
There was also a light lunch for us that really stuck with the At the Hop theme.
The burgers were made with tiny buns that had a meat ball in it. The fries were the veggie straws in the tiny packet. There were fruit and veggies also.
The desert was a cupcake with a straw in it to make it look like an ice cream soda.
Very special event for us.

Thanks for stopping by.
I am working on the cards for the next Stamp Along. I have so many ideas from all the swaps I received that I don't know which ones to share this time and which ones to save!

Late Night Stamper Event Projects

We went to convention a few days early this year so we could participate in the Late Night Stampers' event at the hotel where we stayed. So glad we did! These are some of the projects we did at that three day event! Both pictures show the same projects but from different angles.
Scroll down for some individual ones.

We each brought three projects to share with six other people. So during each of those sessions we made six projects.  The snow couple that I posted yesterday was one of mine. They loved it!

The first thing we did was exchange handmade welcome gifts.
This cute little owl hanging is cross stitched with Stampin' Up! colors. It will be hanging in my stamp room.

This is the gift that I gave. It is a marker holder. I saw it on Pootles and made one for myself. I like it a lot so decided to make it for my gift. If you would like one, let me know and I will do a class.
It is pictured next to mine so you can see it with the markers in it. The markers lay sideways like they are supposed to and are handy and visible.

Another time we were able to make some WOW projects that the team had prepared for us.

This woven basket is one of them. It was hard to pack but made the trip quite well.

The topiary took a little time to make but is so worth it.  I think I will do a class on this for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. Which one would you prefer doing?
The two pages in the front are samplers for the owl and bird punches. I think they are my favorite project! They will help to get the most use from those two punches!
I will have to do a search to find the other Wow projects. The suitcases are still pretty full!
The clothes are washed and put away, or will be by the time you read this, and all of the things in the pictures are put away but I haven't taken any of the card swaps out yet. There are still the gifts I received from the LNS event and the Make and Takes from another event we went to between this one and the convention!

Flowers, Comment winner, and Snowcouple

My flowers are very pretty right now. I love these. They come back each year and don't require much care.

This is a new plant arrangement that I am trying this year. It seems to be working well. The plants in it are doing well. The top one and the bottom two are plants that I kept over the winter in the basement. It took them awhile to adjust to the outside. Now that the weather is warmer, maybe they will start to fill out and do better. It is a fun arrangement and take up a small amount of room.

The winner for the comments this month was Linda for her comment on June 27th. She won some little tags. They will work in nicely in her scrap books.  All comments between now and the next Stamp Along will be in the drawing on August 11.

This is the snow couple that I took along to the Late Night Stamper event just before convention for one of my show box swaps. They were a big hit. They are made using the envelope punch board.  If you would be interested in making them, let me know. If enough are interested I will do a class. We could pair them up with another one of the projects that I received in exchange.

Convention was amazing, as always. I hope to share some of the pictures I took at the event, the swaps, and the giveaways.
Tonight I am going to bed. It was a long day! We got up at 3:00 to get to the airport only to wait for the employees that didn't get there until 5:00 to check us in for our 6:30 flight. We got home late afternoon, tired but happy. I still have lots of unpacking to do.

I know I am early this month but I am needing the time to get my swaps ready for convention!
Also, the Stamp Along is as late in the month as it can possibly be.
I love working with the new in colors.

There will be some Christmas cards there also. I posted one of them last time and forgot to snap the other before I packed it up. Surprise!
Since we will be thinking Christmas, I thought that some nice specials would be appreciated.

Happy Fourth! Paper Pumpkin and Christmas in July!

Happy Fourth of July everyone!
I am giving thanks for all that have given so much to ensure our continued freedom.

The Paper Pumpkin Kit for June was an excellent one with its pinwheels in the Red, White, and Blue.
We got together last Saturday and constructed our kits. What fun!
I took some paper plates and patriotic napkins along and we used them to make a base for the pin wheels in the kit.
We also made lots of pin wheels and put some of them in a vase for a centerpiece. There are still lots of supplies left for another project. There are cello bags for treats and little clips for cards but they will come out at another time as I chose to just go with the pin wheels.
If you would like to give the Paper Pumpkin a try....
You can now get a prepaid subscription for 3, 6, or 12 months and it counts for sales on your party!
Check out the June 23 post or contact me for more details.

This is one of the Christmas cards that will be available at the Stamp Along on the 14th.

It is always hard to think about Christmas cards at this time of the year but this year it is even more difficult because we haven't even had summer yet!
There will be holiday stamps in the mini catalog but, right now, we have to think outside the box because there aren't any in the big catalog. I really like the way this one turned out using the Work of Art set. That is a Have to Have it set. It is so versatile.
I have the bows tied for you already! Yes, I could hear you as you saw the tiny bow.

I did tell you that I would have more about the Pow Wow trip.
We went to the Culture Center which is a newer building and shaped like a turtle. The turtle is very important in Native American Creation Stories.

There were beautiful works of art hanging in the hall ways.

The woven baskets had such intricate details on them where they twisted the materials while weaving them. There were several cases and so many different designs.
We also had a slide show and talk given by the grandson of Chief Mishicott for whom the village of Mishicot was named.
After the presentation, we went out to the cemetery and saw the little houses on the graves.

They are spirit houses. They put things into the spirit house for the deceased to use in the after world.

This is Earl Mishicott, grandson of Chief Abraham Mishicott, and Jim Sustman, the guides for the trip at the grave of Chief Mishicott.
It was a very interesting day!

Don't forget to leave a comment if you want to be in the drawing this month.
I will be drawing on Monday morning before the Stamp Along.
